Acting Nuts & Bolts - Picks up where Acting Up leaves off. Topics include basic acting fundamentals including audition basics, stage directions, terminology, theater etiquette, overview of backstage functions, character interpretation and vocal techniques.

Improv Jr - Rehearse without a script? Work a theater scene with no idea of what is coming next? That’s Improv!. This intermediate level class teaches the skill of reacting to other actors in spontaneous, unrehearsed scenes using conflict, contrast, physical positions and props. You will also explore character traits and background in learning the importance of improvisation for developing acting skills. A prerequisite to Improvathon.

Act I Scene 1 - The focus of this class will be on the dynamics of scene work. Every student will perform a particular scene from various shows which will be memorized and blocked. The development of character and interpretation of lines will be stressed. This is a non-singing class for those students that really want to work on acting skills.

Drama II - Peter Pan - (Ages 12-18) This class is for the serious minded students, this class offers you a variety of acting styles and techniques. It will cover non-musical dramatic material. Some work will include: classical, contemporary and comedic material.

It’s competitive, team improvisation, played just like a sport - a battle of the wits between teams playing a variety of improvisational games. Previous improv experience or class required; there may be an audition on first class day. Students may compete for a spot on a team for the National CYT Improvathon, July 22-26, 2008, in Denver. Team members must agree to register for the Improvathon Team class, held during the spring session.
