Behind the Scenes - (Ages 12-18) Learn what goes on behind the curtains and be a part of the crew, helping to make the show come alive. This class will give hands-on experience in building, painting, and designing the sets for the major production. Lighting, sound and special effects will be included in this backstage crew class.

Glamour, Glitz, Gore - (Ages 8-18) Have you ever wanted to learn how to transform yourself into someone or something else - an old person, a monster, an animal, something from a horror flick? Learn the art of theatrical make-up, including special effects and facial prosthetics. Create the illusions of old age, a black eye, facial cuts and bruises, and more. Make-up kits are required and may be purchased for $20. The kit includes 5 foundations, 10 creme colors, spirit gum, scar wax, powder, sponge, and brushes.

Make-Up
- (Ages 10-18) Put your best foot forward this class will help you choose colors that bring out the best in you. Develop your skills in makeup and hair design. Get ready to shine!

Seams & Stitches

Learn basic sewing skills using a sewing machine and hand stitching. Students will construct a garment bag with pouches to organize your show costume. Students who take this class will be qualified to an intermediate sewing class to be offered next term. Open to students from any area.

Costume Design/Design & Costumes
Learn to design and create your own costumes. The history of theater costumes is a facinating field. This class will deal with the construction, research and design for the show. The students will get the opportunity to costume a particular character themselves.

Costumes that Make the Cut
Tired of being ghosts and mummies for Halloween? Have you turned down a party invitation because you couldn’t come up with a good costume? Come and learn how to create a costume from head to toe. Get ideas and resources for original, prize-worthy costumes.

Prop Till You Drop
Come let your imagination and your creativity take flight in a class where just about anything could be a potential prop. After all one man's junk is another man's prop. We will be turning ordinary and not so ordinary stuff into Theatrical Properties. Some of our fabulous fakes will be used as props for CYT's productions this session.

Fun With Fabric
Prerequisite: Seams and Stitches or instructor approval
Take your basic sewing skills to the next level. Students will design a garment, choose fabric, select a pattern, and construct a unique item to wear at the fashion show showcase. Additional fees involved.

Get Ready, Get Set/Set Building
A class for those who are "drawn" to art. Come learn how to create designs for the stage, including landscapes, grid drawing, color theory and sample set making. You'll help build an actual set piece.

Critics’ Corner
- Have you ever wanted to be able to be a critic? This invaluable class gives you the opportunity to do just that. Students in this class will see four top-notch shows and then critique and share ideas in class. This challenging, yet fun class gives students a firm theatrical foundation. Move over Roger Ebert! (Extra fee required for the price of show tickets)
